What's On

Sanskrit and Ashtavakra Gītā

In London or online

Saturday 22nd - Sunday 23rd October 2022

We can see beauty in so many external forms, from trees and grass and insects and creatures, to great cathedrals and temples to human beings. The Ashtavakra Gita helps us to realise this Great Beauty within ourselves, to understand that we ARE this great beauty and when we enjoy it in outer forms, it is a recognition of that within us already. We will study select passages from this text that help us come out of what we are not and from this working within, become architects of great beauty without.

VEDIC CHANTING WITH GAIEA

Top Studio @ Colet House, London (W14 9DA)

& online / ZoomSunday 20th November 2022

Through sounding the ancient mantra, unchanged for thousands of years, following the swara, becoming one with the sound, mind merged in sound, hear merged in sound, mind meeting heart through this union, mind becoming one with heart, the pilgrimage from head to heart is begun. It is a practice of listening and sounding. There is no need for intellect to engage any more than to give a refinement of attention and presence. And gradually the sounds of the vedas percolate the being, the room, the atmosphere, and bring about a state of peace.
